Swapping the Law for Laughs – Mark Appleyard and Mark Beresford
‘Funny Business’ is being organised by the charity in association with Doncaster Chamber of Commerce and will bring leading Doncaster business people together for what promises to be a first of its kind, hilarious challenge for them all.
Each participant will be working with distinctive policeman turned comic, Alfie Moore, who has written and performed his own one-man show as well as supported well known comedians such as Sarah Millican, Russell Kane and Milton Jones. They will each prepare a 10 minute stand-up comedy routine to be performed at a show – expected to be attended by around 400 people – at Doncaster Racecourse on Thursday 24th October.
The Mark’s will be joined by other well-known senior Doncaster business people Colin Gaffney, (The Natural Learning Company), Richard Walsh (Pennine Stone), Paul Fearn (Forge Trade UK Ltd) Arnie Shelley (WPA), Garry Thickett (Garry Thickett Accountants) and Mick Stamp (1st Security Solutions).
Tickets, costing £14, are available at www.funnybusinessdoncaster.org.uk, or by calling the charity office on 0114 226 5370. You can also sponsor a participant if you can’t get to the show. You can find out more about the Do Your Bit campaign at www.do-your-bit.org.uk.
