Research Shows Cuts to Legal Aid should be reconsidered

A Report has today been released from Oxford Economics which was commissioned by the Law Society and Practice groups such as the CSLA , LCCS , Big Firms Group and LAPG . This indicates that there had been a downward trend in Criminal Work and Spend . The result is that something in the region of £84 Million savings would be achieved without the drastic cuts proposed .

This is clear evidence against the proposed cuts and require a re-think by the Ministry of Justice .
