Doncaster Law Society Pre-War Minutes
Notice is Hereby Given that the AGM of Doncaster Law Society will be held on Wednesday 8th July at 12.30pm at the Regent Hotel . Delegates can join fellow members and guests for lunch at the Regent which is complimentary .
The Society has called this special AGM in order to determine whether there is to be a plan for the future of the society or whether the our historical Society should close .

The Society will consider the following resolutions
1 ) That in accordance with the rules of the Society it is directed that Doncaster & District Law Society shall close with immediate effect and the Honorary Treasurer shall prepare and distribute closing accounts within 28 days
2) That in rejecting Resolution 1 the Members present declare they are committed to the future of Doncaster Law Society and will support its meetings and events
3) That if Resolution 1 is CARRIED that the outgoing committee propose in accordance with Rule 29 that the funds of Doncaster Law Society after discharge of all debts be applied to support the Doncaster Mock Trials Project or in default the Solicitors Benevolent Association .
4) That if Resolution 2 is CARRIED the New Rules shall be adopted subject to any amendments
PLEASE NOTE THAT IF YOU FAIL TO ATTEND DECISIONS OVER THE FUTURE OF THE SOCIETY AND THE ASSETS WILL BE MADE IN YOUR ABSENCE .
ONLY REGISTERED MEMBERS IN ATTENDANCE WILL BE ENTITLED TO VOTE
The time for a Society which was founded in 1937 and contributed so much to Doncaster in a number of decades since to determine whether it is still relevant and has the support of its members to continue ……TIME TO MAKE YOUR VOICE HEARD
