Doncaster Law Society The Future

On 8th July members of Doncaster & District Law Society met to debate the future of the Society . This was occuring at a time when the need for a local law society had never been greater but with a background of some firms not engaging with the Society over recent times .

During a very positive debate all options were considered but the overwhelming view of the meeting was that they were not prepared to see the end of a great society like Doncaster . Accordingly the vote to close Doncaster Law Society was defeated .

There was a committment from the firms present to work together to drive the society forward and other firms are to be contacted with a view to meeting once agian on the 16th September at 12.30pm – The Regent Hotel when it is hoped a future plan can be agreed and Officers and a full committee representative of all firms will be put in place .
