Mark Newby the out going IPP and Yorkshire National Councillor thanked everyone for their support and urged them to continue to support the societies growth in the years ahead .
The meeting also listened to a very informative speech from our Special Guest . Dame Rosie kindly said this about the Society :
I was delighted to have had the opportunity to speak at the Doncaster Law Society AGM today as I have a deep admiration for the work that legal representatives and the law society do for the people here in Doncaster.
Parliament can legislate for workers’ rights, benefits, protecting elderly people through the Court of Protection, but lawyers are absolutely vital in enforcing those rights and in keeping the wheels of our democracy going.
